Tutorial: Simple Cool Coral French Manicure
I like to polish my nail with simple colours, like pinky colours. I'm not a girl that would go into bright colours because I think they don't match my skin tone. So usually I like sheer colours but yet I want something special and cool.
The nail polish I'm using today are Sally Hansen Diamond Strength in Brilliant Blush and Diamonds, Island Girl Color Changing Polish in this Coral colour (I bought this from ABC store in Hawaii, you can use any colours that you like) and SH Diamond Shine Base & Top Coat.
First, apply the Sally Hanse Diamond Strength in Brilliant Blush. This gives your nail a nice and shiny base colour.
Apply a thin coat of the Coral colour nail polish on the tip of your nails.
Add a second coat to make the colour stand out more.
Then, apply the nail polish in Diamonds or that has slight sparkle from about half outer part of your nails, just to give a slight sparkle to it.
Lastly, apply a top coat to protect your nail and keep your nail colour last longer. Then you are done!
You guys might be able to tell that I really like Sally Hansen's nail polish. It's one of the best drugstores brand I have ever used. the price are reasonable too since I'm not crazy with nail polishes.
Anyway there's the exciting part about the Island Girl Color Changing Polish I bought from Hawaii.

It changes colour when the temperature is high. This colour that I got changes into white when I touch something warm or in heat, and it will turn into french manicure. Pretty cool eh.
Above pictures is when my nails starting to cool down a bit and you can see slightly coral colour on the tip of my nails. This is a great colour for summer <3
Definitely would buy it again if I am going to Hawaii again by any chances. ^^
Hope you guys enjoy this!

Review: Crabtree & Evelyn Jojoba Oil Conditioning Shampoo
Since about few months ago, I started to have a scalp problem. It's too dry and itchy and kinda caused a lot of dandruff. It's really bad and I have been looking for solutions to this for so long. I have a really sensitive scalp and not all shampoo work for me. Apparently, I still haven't found the solution yet but I found a shampoo that can ease this problem for now. That is C&E Jojoba Oil Conditioning Shampoo. I bought this when I went to Seattle with hun. It was US$18 with buy 2 get 1 free offer. I think It's a pretty good deal. So I just bought and try it would helps my scalp problem.
However, it didn't really solve my dandruff problem because I still get dandruff but I do feel my scalp is less itchy now. Still itchy once a while.
This shampoo is not specialized for scalp problem but Jojoba oil is good for conditioning your scalp. I didn't have a high expectation to this but it didn't disappointed me either. So I would recommend this. It might be expensive for a shampoo for some people, but you really don't need a lot of products when you wash your hair, a little bit would do the job. I would continue to use this while I'm still searching for the right shampoo for my scalp.

Lunch with Jasmine & Clogs
Yesterday, I went to lunch with Jasmine. We went to Timmy at 12, we sat there till 3 and lunch again till 5. We kinda talked a lot. I haven't see her since last year. Kinda miss her.. ^^
She's the first friend that I met in high school back in 2005. How I met her was a coincidence. Anyway, it was nice to know her.

After that, we went to Golden Onion for second lunch because Jasmine got hungry. She got a Veggies noodles soup because she is a vegetarian. I tried a bit of it and I think it tasted pretty good. It's a Korean restaurant. The interior design of it look pretty fancy and nice atmosphere. But I think it's a bit too expensive for a Veggies noodles soup, but I think I might want to try their Tofu soup next time, when I need food lol.
After I got home that day, I saw something weird at home. It's a TOMATO that my mom grow. I think it kinda looked like a papaya. I emailed it to my hun and tried to trick him that it's a papaya. He wasn't really believe me though. He thought it's weird. lol.
My sister, Tammy and I also went Superstore to look at supplements after dinner with dad, mom and sister Jayne. We stayed at the supplements sections for quite a while. Tammy was thinking to take some Vitamin D and Calcium but I don't think she needs Calcium at her age. Anyway, some tips about supplements that I learnt from the pharmacist are we shouldn't have more than 1000IU of Vitamin D and 1500mg of Calcium daily. Since we do get them other sources, I don't think we need to take too much of them. However, Tammy didn't get any of them because I found her a Multivitamins for her age. For most multivitamins, they are either designed for kids or adults, but Tammy is not a kid anymore and yet she's not an adults. Quest is a pretty good supplements brand. I'm taking one of their products too, so if you have a teen girl at home, maybe this would be a pretty good choice for supplements.
My mom and I bought some shoes from Crocs.ca last Tuesday and we got our order today. They were on sales. ^^
I know some people might think Crocs are ugly, I do think Crocs are ugly, but my mom said it's comfy and good for walking. So I decided to give it a try.
This are the 2 pairs that I got. I got the pink one because I think they look cute with the pink fluffy fleece lining. It's good for cold weather since summer is over. The lining is removable and washable too. It was only $19.99. I actually wanted that last year when they had sales but they didn't have my size. so I just passed that. ^^
I also bought a pair of sandal for $9.99. They had a purple one and I like that better but since they don't have my size for purple, I decided to just get the yellow one. It's a bright yellow and I think it looks pretty nice. I'll wear that for the next summer haha..
Opss.. this is a long blog. I think that's all for today. Going to make lunch now.. *flew away*

Brown Rice Congee & Mooncake Festival
I slept pretty late yesterday night and woke up early. I felt a bit sick this morning, so I decided to make a congee for lunch. However, I only eat brown rice, so I'll make a brown rice congee.
Let's make brown rice congee together.
Let's make brown rice congee together.
The brown rice I'm using is mixed with assorted type of brown rice. I don't really know what kind are there but I really like it being mixed.
Add water into the pot and cook it to boil.
I also added blended ginger into it.
Salted duck egg is bad but I love it. Just try to resist not to eat too much. so I just ate half. =P
Stir and add water occasionally. I added some pork meat too. The congee will be ready when the pork meat is cooked and the congee turned into creamy texture.
I don't usually put salt in my food, but since I have salted duck egg, my congee should have enough taste to it, but I added a bit of white pepper powder to add a little bit more taste to it.
It tasted really good. My parents and grandma had it for lunch too. ^^
I know a lot of people don't like the texture of the brown rice and they claimed that there's no taste. However, I personally think brown rice taste better. I like the texture of it and it's healthier. so Enjoy!

Mooncake festival was couple days ago. However, my family didn't celebrate it because they were all busy with work, but we decided to have a hotpot tonight. ^^
I don't really like mooncake that much, so we didn't buy any either. Main reason is that they are expensive. so we bought it after the festival. =P
For mooncake, I don't really like getting the White lotus seed paste with eggs mooncake, because I think they are fattening. They are high calories and high cholesterol. However, I really love the Mixed nut's mooncake.

The calories are lower and zero cholesterol too. ^^ Try it if you never try it before, but my grandma said young people don't usually like it. She was surprised that I like them lol.
Look at the nuts. They are so good. *nom nom nom*
Anyway, that's it for now. Later.

My beauties
I woke up pretty late today, literally 11 hours of sleep. Such a piggy.. ^@^
I didn't really do anything today but I went to the post office to pick up my parcel. My hun bought me wig from wigs2you.com @ sasa.com. The wig looks pretty nice and real. I need to get my mom to trim it a bit to suit me better. I'll definitely try them on and post a picture. ^_~

Couple months ago, my sister's friend was going to Taiwan. I asked her to get me something from Taiwan.
I wanted My beauty diary's tea time series but she said it ran out of stock when she bought them. Eventually she only got to buy the Strawberry Yogurt Amino Acid Cleanser.
It's not only for night time use but you can also apply lesser for daytime use as well. I really like the scent of it. Smell so good. <3
This mist can be use not only after cleansing your face but also before and after applying makeup.
She also got me 2 boxes of my favourite masks, Pearl Powder mask and Arbutin Whitening Mask. Some of you might know that I really like pearls. I have tried the Pearl Powder mask before but not the Arbutin Whitening Mask. I'm going to try it out soon. ^_~
That's it for now. I'm really excited to try all of my newbies.
